Kay John #1 Custom

A unique and superbly made guitar and the first by the maker Kay John. This guitar was fourteen months in the making with countless hours poured into it. Kay’s mission was to create something that would push both his creativity and skills to the limit, taking him through unexplored territory of guitar design. The maker promotes the use of sustainably sourced and British grown hardwoods. This ‘number one’ features storm-felled black walnut from Lincolnshire, English walnut from Gloucestershire and ebony that was pulled from a skip in London over thirty years ago.
