Advancements in Every Area
In this advanced iteration, every major section of the amplifier—power supply, input, driver, and output stages—has undergone significant enhancements. The power supply boasts a new transformer winding, providing over 50% more current output from the same footprint, offering greater headroom during dynamic passages. The input stage has been reimagined, combining a new circuit topology with advanced components, feeding the driver and output stages. The front end is powered by bipolar transistors that deliver ten times the current and power of the original devices in the Momentum M400 MxV amplifiers. These wider bandwidth, higher power components extend low and high-frequency performance while reducing distortion in both frequency extremes. The driver stage is energized by a new bias stability circuit, providing a nearly 50% increase in operating bias for improved sound quality.
The unique Copper heatsinks and new circuit topology ensure thermal issues are not a practical concern in the Momentum M400 MxV amplifiers.
